Have you ever gazed up at the night sky and marveled at its splendor? Throughout human history our ancestors did; they looked to the sky and wondered. Within the last 500 years some great minds have worked to demystify the universe. Thanks to them our knowledge and understanding of the universe has grown from almost comical ideas to widely accepted science-based theories. This course will primarily focus on the latter. Join us on a journey through the solar system and beyond. Come learn about the greatest show on Earth, The Universe. Some topics we will explore:

the Moon, more than Earth’s little companion

stars: formation and evolution of stars and planetary systems

origins, how the universe began, how it may end

Also, included with your registration will be a possible visit to a planetarium in Brainerd. You can register for the planetarium visit for only $15.00, even if you do not register for the entire series. More info to come!

You can register as a single participant, or bring a friend to get a discount! If you feel you can only commit to a few sessions, register for those dates individually.
Cancellation Policy
All participant initiated cancellations will result in a $10 handling fee. We reserve the right to cancel a class/activity due to lack of enrollment- full refunds will be given in this instance.
- Participant class cancellations must be made a minimum of two business days prior to class start date in order to receive any refund.
- NO refunds or credits will be given for class cancellations made the day before class, the day of class, or after class has started or met. No exceptions.
